19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his first title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has had a difficult period, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-time trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship following the Rome competition and initial on a hard court since spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies he has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters together, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in Halle in the past months.
The player's defensive play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led observers to wonder if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult opponent, taking four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden professional championship, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
The opponent defended 4 early-game break points in a competitive final set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the title with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman unable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
